Our
philosophy

At Càmping Begur we’re fully committed to the development of sustainable tourism. This is why we carry out responsible management of the campsite and preserve the natural environment surrounding us. All the activities we organise are aimed at minimising the impact on nature, but which, at the same time, can be enjoyed to the full.

Càmping Begur, the first European campsite to obtain the Biosphere certificate

At Càmping Begur we’ve always been committed to a responsible tourism policy, which led us to become the first European campsite to obtain the Biosphere Tourism certificate. Today, we further strengthen our commitment to sustainability by achieving the Ecolabel certification, a recognition that endorses our environmentally friendly practices and our dedication to ecological excellence.

We have earned these certifications thanks to our firm commitment to mantaining a balance at all levels: social, economic and environmental. We believe in a campsite model based on sustainable development, cultural diversity and social responsibility,  and we work every day to improve our impact on the environment.

Additionally, we are committed to motivate and train our staff in line with the principles of responsible tourism, promoting these values among our clients as well. With the Ecolabel certification, we reaffirm our dedication to offering a camping experience that is not only comfortable and enjoyable but also respectful of the planet.

Committed to the environment, the region and sustainable tourism

We’re a campsite rooted in the region and committed to quality and innovation. Our main objective is the satisfaction of our customers, employees, neighbours and fellow citizens by means of our responsible tourism policy.

At Càmping Begur we’ve taken on the principles and objectives of the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +20. This means we work on a daily basis with the following aims:

  • To prevent any impact of our facilities and activities on the natural environment.
  • To improve and maximise the positive impact that tourist activity generates in our territory.
  • To optimise the sustainability of the campsite so as to improve how we interact with the environment.
